Zurich Country Fair: Barnyard Bash!

Get ready for a weekend packed with excitement as Zurich, Ontario celebrates its 161st Annual Country Fair! This beloved community event is a highlight of the year, bringing together locals and visitors alike for a celebration of rural heritage, agriculture, and good old-fashioned fun.

This year’s edition of the fair is happening July 25, 26 and 27 and will kick off with a food truck at the arena tempting fair-goers with delicious fare ahead of the fireworks display at dusk.

On Saturday, livestock shows will start off with the amateur horse show at 9 am, and continue through the day. Opening ceremonies get things moving at noon, and youth games and activities will run until 4 pm. The ever-popular baby show runs at 1 pm. The mini-tractor pull is always exciting and hits the schedule at 2 pm. Food trucks and a beer tent will be on hand throughout the day to keep everyone’s energy level up. Admire the talents of local artisans and crafters with homecraft displays of baking, canning, knitting, woodworking, and other homemade goods from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday night’s elimination draw and dance will keep the adults entertained from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a live band.

The Stoneboat Pullers are the main event on Sunday, with registration at 9 a.m. and pulling beginning at 10 am. The food trucks and beer tent are back for the day.
