Seaforth - The Hub

There’s a new chain in town and it’s local, committed and proving to be very popular. The Hub Family, as it is affectionately known, consists of four restaurants in Stratford, Mitchell, Seaforth and most recently, The Hub on The Docks in Bayfield. The entire chain is supported by its own butchery, located in Stratford, that specializes in meat locally sourced from family farms.

The Seaforth location completed its renovations in June and now features an exceptional patio, with heaters and fireplaces, that can be enjoyed until the snow flies. Live music completes the atmosphere.

The Hub is unique in that it is a chain, so you have all the amenities that make the experience easy, like online reservations and ordering, a central phone number and delivery options, but it is local with a real focus on the Huron-Perth food experience, including local craft beer.

The menu is deliciously simple, with enough variety to satisfy everyone in your party. The daily specials run Wednesday through Sunday and highlight tried and true restaurant staples like burgers, fish and chips, wings, prime rib and pulled pork at prices that make it easy to eat out.

With a consistent menu at all of The Hub’s locations, the quality is evident. The most popular item is the seven-ounce beef burger made of brisket and chuck cuts at their own butchery, but Julia Allum, the Hub’s Media and Marketing manager let us in on a secret. “Try the fish tacos, they are unbelievable!”

First-time guests will appreciate the emphasis on laid-back dining on the patio and the care that goes into having locally-grown meat served in the restaurants. 164 Main St S, Seaforth. www.thehubseaforth.com
