Skydiving over Grand Bend
One of Huron County’s most exhilarating and exciting tourist attractions is booming right now: the Grand Bend Sport Parachuting Centre.
The centre, which was started full-time by Bob Wright in 1982, offers a variety of parachuting experiences – everything from beginners to experts. Wright has been skydiving for nearly 45 years and has completed nearly 15,000 jumps. He has been teaching jumpers for nearly as long. Wright has been instructing for over 40 years, during which he has taught over 5,000 first-time jumpers.
Bob is complemented by Mary Wright, who has been skydiving since 1994 (her first jump was in Grand Bend). Since then, she has done more than 4,600 skydives.
For first-time jumpers, the centre offers classroom instruction, practical training and your first jump alongside your instructors. There is also a progressive free fall course available for advanced skydivers.
