Exeter Ram Rodeo
There are few sounds that capture the spirit of summer quite like the roar of a crowd, the pounding of hooves, and the anticipation that fills the air before the arena gate swings open. That excitement returns as the Exeter RAM Rodeo rides back into town for another unforgettable weekend of western action and family entertainment on August 8 and 9, 2026, at the South Huron Recreation Centre.
The Exeter stop is once again part of the Ontario-based RAM Rodeo Tour, bringing professional rodeo competition and western heritage to the heart of Huron County. The event is one of 16 tour stops across Ontario and has become a much-anticipated summer tradition for residents and visitors alike.
For many spectators, the rodeo offers a chance to experience a uniquely exciting sporting event up close. Competitors from across the province and beyond test their skills in a variety of events that showcase athleticism, courage, and generations of ranching tradition. Whether it's the precision of barrel racing, the skill of roping events, or the adrenaline-filled challenge of roughstock competition, every ride and run keeps fans on the edge of their seats.
One of the things that makes the Exeter event special is its ability to transform a familiar community venue into a lively western destination. As spectators arrive, they are greeted by the sights and sounds of rodeo life—cowboy hats, boots, livestock, and the unmistakable energy that accompanies a major live event. For a weekend, Exeter becomes a gathering place for competitors, fans, and curious newcomers eager to experience the excitement firsthand.
Visitors will find plenty happening beyond the main rodeo performances. On Saturday, the gates, vendors and Alberta Premium Saloon open at 2 p.m., followed by a free Kids Rodeo hosted by the Canadian Cowgirls. The main RAM Rodeo performance begins at 4 p.m., with free live entertainment continuing into the evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday's schedule starts at 11 a.m. with gates opening, vendors welcoming guests and another free Kids Rodeo. The weekend concludes with the final RAM Rodeo performance at 1 p.m. Throughout both days, visitors can also enjoy vendor displays, behind-the-chutes VIP experiences, meet-and-greet photo opportunities with cowboys and cowgirls, and a variety of family-friendly activities.
