Clinton Spring Fair
By Nancy Fisher
The Clinton Spring Fair is roaring back in 2022 with a theme of “Smashin’ and Crashin’ at the Fair”, running June 3-5 at the Clinton Raceway and at the Central Huron Community Complex.
After two years of smaller fairs due to the pandemic, this year will look more like the event locals have loved for decades. As always, this will be a great way to really kick off summer in Central Huron. The whole town of Clinton will be celebrating, including downtown businesses joining in with decorated windows.
Starting off with a fundraising dinner and the Junior and Senior Ambassador competition on Friday, May 27, the excitement builds from there. The Senior Ambassador will go on to represent the Clinton Spring Fair and all of Central Huron at the Canadian National Exhibition in August.
The following weekend will kick off in a very loud way with the always popular demolition derby on Friday night, June 3. This event draws crowds from far and wide and is backed up by the popular midway open for rides, games and entertainment.
The weekend of fun continues on Saturday, with the junior and adult homecraft competitions, livestock shows, displays and more midway fun. More events and competitions will be announced closer to the event.
Although the announcement was not made in time for our printed edition, Clinton Spring Fair is proud to present Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell with special guests. Tickets go on sale April 1st, get them while you can.
Activities continue Sunday, so check the website at www.clintonspringfair.com for a full list of activities, times and cost of admission, as well as all the details for entering the many competitions. Keep up to date as announcements are made on its Facebook page. Central Huron Community Centre, 239 Bill Fleming Dr, Clinton
