Brussels Farmers Market
By Nancy Fisher
The village of Brussels is a delightful find as you tour the County of Huron - a lovely river, beautiful houses and the heritage buildings along the main street. It's worth checking out on the last Friday of the month as the Brussels Farmers’ Market sets up in Richmond Square (across from the post office).
Featuring all the usual elements of a great farmers’ market, including fresh fruits and vegetables, home baking, handmade items and take-home foods, it is the community atmosphere that people enjoy. With occasional live entertainment, it brings life to the streets of this sweet place to life.
The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 27, June 24, July 24, Aug. 26 and Sept. 30. On July 24, the market is planning to run an extended version until 4 p.m. as part of the Brussels Homecoming, celebrating the town’s 150th anniversary.
