The best in local produce
After a successful couple of years in its new indoor home, the Brussels Farmers’ Market will now make the move outdoors to the cement pad on the north side of the Four Winds Barn for the safety of vendors and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is expected the market itself will look and run differently for much of the summer, but may begin to move indoors and bring in other types of goods, if the province begins to loosen restrictions.
For now, the only items available will be food produced by the vendors. To limit contact, an empty table will be placed at each vendor’s stall to facilitate the exchange after items have been selected. There will also be directional paths so physical distancing can be maintained. Sanitizing stations will be placed at the entrance and the exit, and vendors will sanitize their hands and tables after each transaction.
The market runs Fridays until mid-October for the hours of 2-6 p.m.
